New song "Reminders" is up and it's sick

lol the opening drum beat on Reminders is almost exactly the same as Taste the Red Hands by Dead Poetic, right down to the mixing. that threw me back
edit: yeah I didn't like that new single much at all and I'm genuinely afraid for this album, feels like the band has lost all the musical intensity that matched the lyrical heart-on-sleeve-ness

Hmm that song really did not do anything for me. A bit worried for the record now.

I feel a bit similar. The singles were great, but nothing has managed to leave an impact quite like anything from here or Green. That will probably change however from the context of the full album.

video was so cute, it's kinda crazy how many of my favorite musicians ended up in there.
this seems like it's shaping up to be their version of a pop record and i'm fine with that. Stage Four was so emotionally devastating that they deserve a happier sounding album tbh.

yeah it was a fun game of spot-and-recognise-the-musician
totally fair, they absolutely deserve some happiness after this devastating record, hoping for at least 1 or 2 deep cut gems on the new one tho

I like Wait for Love but it's not as good as The Lack Long After and Keep You, let's be honest here

I never said it was, but it's still a fantastic album. It got way too much hate when it came out, and still does. I'll always be an active defender of Wait For Love. Pretty sure I had that as my AOTY when it came out.

It's a cold hard fact that the happier the artist, the shittier their music gets
