oh, still need to add the session musician parts, but that'll take like a day once i receive them back. then i'll spend a few days mixing and mastering.
the important thing is that all my recordings are done - that was the biggest barrier. the album itself is laid down.

still not amazing, but i was in a place with actual heating this time as opposed to when i was recording this record so that really helped! easier to warm them up when they lock up.

hi - removing my previous estimate. i'm going to be taking my time with my session musicians as well as outsourcing the mixing and mastering so the end result is better. i was being far too optimistic and putting pressure on them without realising. at least my recordings are done - biggest obstacle out of the way. i couldn't be prouder of this and wouldn't forgive myself if i didn't get this stage right by rushing it.
it'll be worth a few more months of fine tuning.

hi all, new year update
album is still in mixing and mastering stages, enlisted a fantastic audio engineer that's worked with some really big bands in the scene to not only help record drums with my drummer in the states but he'll help mix and master the whole thing. i've not mixed live drums before and i don't want to get such a pivotal part wrong.
i've been listening to the album more than daily since completion of the tracking takes and it's 100% worth paying out to get this all right. conceited to say this but i don't care - this album is stunning and i want it to be perfect. i'll have invested thousands getting this album completed by the end but hey, whatevs.
