Hetfields vocals and the overall melodic infusion on Puppets is what vaults it above for me. I actually like Trapped Under Ice and Escape more than Leper Messiah and The Thing That Should Not Be, if you want to compare the weakest tracks on each album. But nothing can touch the title track. MASTER.
