I think it was caught in the unfortunate position of being a shift from their first two albums (i.e. there are some songs longer than 2 minutes) and not being the emotional powerhouse that is Stage Four

Seeing them live next week, and judging by the tracklists from their previous US tour, there's a really great balance of songs all albums (only Lament has 2 tracks, all others have more). This and Stage Four absolutely kill me, emotionally. Jeremy might be one of the best lyricists in heavy music of the past 20 years.
