Deftones pinnacle IMHO. Their 2nd heaviest behind Around The Fur. Their most creative songwriting. Chino's most creative melodies. Their moodiest album.
All of it makes for their most challenging listen than what they normally offer. It especially disappoints some people I suspect because it came after their easiest-to-listen album White Pony.

deathblow is one of of my favorites from actually
i guess to explain it better, quite a few tracks on here (while all unique) have a similar feeling to each other. I feel like it could've used just one more stand out track that added a slightly different vibe from the rest

But remember it was the early 00's, white pony was the exception of the rule but if deftones hadn't tried to make another brutal album like the self titled they could have probably fallen into oblivion.
