I mean yeah the s/t had cheese and it also had riffs and frost sweepz and is the more m/ album but it's also got songs like Death and The Healing with Jari's horrible off-key clean vocals and broken English lyrics and is really campy at times and not in a good way. This is just unhinged extravagance all the way through and tbh I will never understand how some people perceive that to be a bad thing when it comes to a Wintersun album.

I dig his cleans tbh. And the s/t has like quadruple the quality/memorable riffs as this does. Just my opinion though of course. :]

extravagance nonsense, unlike the s/t which was done masterfully, those off key cleans gave that album it's character. this is just a stale.

The riffs on this aren't as much the focus as they were on the s/t so that's a given, but I don't see this as lacking in memorable moments in general compared to the s/t in fact quite the contrary.
And when in discussion about Wintersun I don't think I've ever heard someone say the s/t's ~character~ comes from Jari's horrible cleans as they're nothing but a detriment tbh

Nah, the cake is stale and without flavor (not completely dry), and the frosting is sweet but in a bland sense, like vanilla frosting with the sweetness but not the actual flavor.
