Id probably feel the same way if this wasn't one of my first albums. It's still much better than most of GDs albums

I would argue that this was a the most influential and decade defining record of the 2000's easily.

I agree, though nostalgia is one helluva drug. Absolutely love Homecoming.

This is a good fucking album. There's some nostalgia, but nostalgia isn't everything. I used to listen to some shit. This, however, remains quality.

Maybe from a purely music sense this could be seen as a lesser record, but the sociological ramifications for this record are astounding. This record perfectly sums up many issues of the 2000's. It addresses the overwhelming beginning to the objection in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. It foreshadows the pop-punk emo scene that bands like My Chemical Romance and such would imitate the now popularized dark eye liner punk look. It's core the record is a concept record detailing the counter culture growing in society at the time and roughly illustrated how America wasn't becoming more prosperous, now it's become a burden of expectations for it's youth. This record perfectly illuminates the issues, the frustration and the atmosphere of the 2000's.
