first half of the set was a bore though haha

Yeah the second half was obviously much better than the first. Ending with ACOS, can't beat that

I love the Muse influences on the vocals here. A real pleasure

LaBrie even imitates Bellamy's aggressive breathing noises on Never Enough, haha

This grew off me very fast. Don't know but it's not really engaging. The title track is good though

I still really like this record, the ballads are a bit too much, and it's maybe a bit straightforward but it has some amazing songs

What songs are your faves? Agreed on the ballads being too much. I like These Walls and Panic Attack, but even these songs don't grab me too much

Well, ofcourse the title track, but I really like Sacrificed Sons as well. Panic Attack, Never Enough and These Walls are cool too

What do you guys think? A Change Of Seasons or Octavarium?
ACoS for me, it's more original. But Octavarium is full of references, which make it fun too.

To contest here for me, ACoS >>>>>>>>>>

Change of seasons is about the same as this Imo
Change of seasons is more fun to play on guitar tho

Any good DT albums after this one? Been going in order but I don't know if I want to tackle the rest immediately if they all suck. Thought this one was good though.

First half of systematic chaos and one or two tracks on adtoe and bcasl
Check out count of tuscany and lost not forgotten on those two

I have a soft spot for ADToE, not all songs on that album are great tho. Breaking All Ilusions and Bridges In The Sky are damn good and I'd say as an album ADToE is better than Octavarium, even though nothing on there can touch the title track of this
