People get promoted for writing regularly, level of insight is largely irrelevant. That's the cynical truth about this site.

I get where you're coming from, Ali. I mean, for the most part people do get promoted for writing consistently, but there are definitely exceptions to the rule. Aids, for one, hasn't written too much in his time here, but he brings an interesting perspective to the site, and discovers a lot of music people here would enjoy. That definitely factored into the choice more than anything, I'd say.
There are also some writers like Carouse and AngelofDeath that contribute infrequently, but the smaller amount they do contribute is really solid. They're definitely the exception, though.

i'm writing a lengthy paper about this album arguing pretty much what aids said on the last page, so once i'm done i suppose it would easy to turn my already organized thoughts into a review. i'm obviously going to 5 it though.
