why does the verse of "running up that hill" feel so cyclical/"continuous" in nature? I cant relisten rn lol but is it about how the lyrics' emphasis falls across the rhythm? at first I thought it was because it was like a big polyrhythm with three chords mapped onto a 4/4 rhythm but then I remember listening again and it wasn't that? does anyone know what I'm talking about lol

This is always worth a relisten and I understand what you mean, I feel the same way about that chorus robertsona and nothing on this is underrated but I know what you mean we don't talk about the ballads enough.

No prob! I don't think I'd done it either. It sounds dangerous and final and very Faust.

I feel like the 'the fog' would fit really well on this album after under ice

despite how delightfully quirky and innovative The Dreaming is, some of the ideas don't pan out as well as others and come across as a bit annoying. the execution here feels a lot sleeker and more consistent. i feel myself coming back to this a lot more
