Really creepy how Lennon predicted how he would die and it actually happened.

Wait, he what? When?

He said 'I'd probably get popped by some looney' when a reporter asked how he though he'd die. That's a fucked up question to ask someone anyhow.

Is. The interviews I've seen/read with him are generally awesome though, bloke had a hell of a wit.

Beatles have always had a weird aura about them.

That kinda came out nowhere Pleb haha

Their is just something so timeless about The Beatles, and their music fits pretty much any mood. Don't get the people who say they were overrated; they explored a myriad of different styles and were more influential musically and culturally than any band was or will ever be.

Yeah I know, just cos I saw a vid on YouTube yesterday about the 20 most shocking Hollywood deaths haha, was interesting.

@avon Agreed but it's fruitless trying to explain the Beatles to someone who doesn't dig them; as cliche as it sounds it's just something you either get or you don't and it just can't be put into words
@Pleb Ah righto that makes sense then. I didn't know that Lennon predicted his death but yeah that is kinda freaky. Even though he was a clever dude and a legend I gotta admit he could be kind of a dick sometimes, what with him saying that George couldn't write as well as him and Paul which is absolute horseshit.

Lennon just flat out ruled.

I'm a George fan personally and seeing Lennon say that he wasn't as good a writer as the other two pisses me off so fucking bad

To be fair, John's songwriting far exceeded George's throughout most of their time as Beatles, it wasn't until the White Album that George started to come into his own. But yeah he could definitely be a dick, he basically abandoned his first wife and kid and once beat the shit out of Stuart Sutcliffe while they were still in Germany. Then there was that time that he openly cheated n Yoko while she was in the next room and knew exactly what was going on...
Still, he did more for charities and peace than most people ever well, plus he could write a hell of a jam.

Never been a Paul fan tbh.

Lennon just flat out ruled [2]
The other two don't even come close (as Beatles) to what he accomplished. I mean Strawberry Fields? All You Need Is Love? Tomorrow Never knows? Sheeeeit, that still sounds fresh. John >

You Won't See Me is a Paul classic though, got lots of time for early Paul.
