I've friends that are better guitar players than Mascherino and Nolan together. With that said, they wouldn't be a good fit for Taking Back Sunday. And I disagree completely about the so called chemistry between the band members that you're talking, if anything, they were trying to emulate the chemistry of the original line up. The self-titled is the first record since TAYF that didn't try to force that, it just feels like a natural progression, ten years after that album.

@andcas There are only two notorious review websites that didn't like the album: Sputnik and Spin. The fans and all the other review outlets seem to enjoy the shit out of the album. I'd say that the review and your opinion are in the minority.

praised this much since at least WYWTB. You can look everywhere, people are mostly enjoying this
record. It doesn't change your opinion or the reviewer's, but the consensus is that's an amazing
album.

Right, but this is way wider than a jugaloo gathering though. Your opinion and the reviewer's are the minority. It's not your place or mine to judge which one is right. I think it's an amazing album and the only single opinion that matters to me is my own when it comes to my interests.
