Don't feel like picking through 46 pages of comments to find out if someone else said it... anyone else think this sounds like a more urgent version of Explosions In The Sky with some weird ass vocals?

If there's anyone around that sounds like WU LYF I'd like to know.

I actually agree with you to some extent. The guitar in the background has a very similar feel. But that's about it as far as similarities with EitS go.

I tried going through the lyric book that came with the cd, but got lost since none of them seemed to fit.

Good, if slightly belated decision.

I dunno, this is awesome for sure. I still think it bears some similarities, if only the guitar, with a faster EitS.

Hmm, I like the tunes (thinking of bumping this up to a 3.5), but maybe hailing them as completely genuine isn't the best idea. I remember going on their website when a friend told me about the LP, and it was so immaculately catered to the non-conformist, "mysterious" mentality that you start wondering whether or not this is just some elaborate marketing maneuver. Seems to have worked out for them, anyhow.

Words cannot describe WU LYF. the best band of the 2000s without a doubt, and one of the greatest bands of all time. I'm not speaking too soon when I say WU LYF will go down in music history along with The Velvet Underground and Joy Division as game-changing and endlessly influential experimental music.
