i genrally like vocal harmonies but the ones on here don't really land for me. the instrumentation, while good, also doesn't feel that special too me. idk this is good but i much prefer crack-up

Both classics, but Crack-Up is more ambitious

I also prefer Crack-Up, but this has some truly unexpected turns.

This is still in the top 5 folk albums of the 2010s. Crack Up in the top 10.

There's something about the production on this that I always found kinda offputting but I don't think anyone shares that sentiment with me

I always forget FJM was in this band. They were excellent with him, and they're still excellent without him tbh. I'm glad he did his own thing, because his solo work is almost just as good.

Kinda chiming in late here but man did this grow on me. On a first listen, I thought it was just alright but after a couple more listens, I'm really digging it.

this really is one of the greatest albums ever made. The ambient middle part of The Shrine/An Argument will always get me

I can still remember the first time I heard Montezuma. No one I've played the song to hasn't gone crazy about it even if this isn't their usual taste of music at all.
