Tbf, my mom wouldn't let me listen to Nocturnal by TBDM when I was around 11-12 years old. I bought the album, she saw the pentagram on the back of the booklet, and she was like "nope, we're returning this". But she was also a pretty hardcore Catholic at the time. She's into witchcraft now, so I'm pretty sure she doesn't care about all that anymore. Lmao



But she was one of those cool Catholics that didn't give a shit about listening to extreme metal, as long as it didn't contain outright Satanic or gory themes. So stuff like Gojira and later-era Death was fair game for her
