woahhhh. For me it shows his experimentation at his creative peak while still showcasing some of his classic stripped down indie sound at the same. I can see how people could favor his earlier albums but imo no Elliott album is anywhere near average.

I like this album a lot but it's just such a minor work.
I know that's part of the charm but he released albums far more consistent, ambitious and varied.

i understand that this one has less variation than his later stuff but man the emotion is just incredible on this one, and his songwriting and guitar playing are top-notch
