That's because it would have been a false accusation.

The intro could've been trimmed down, To Drown is boring and also drags on too long, not enough clean vocals. That's pretty much what's wrong with it for me. Not much, but yeah.

i came to like the intro personally, I loooove To Drown (I'm a Godspeed fan, go figure) and perhaps I agree with the clean vocals bit but I don't think it takes anything away from it.

that said though, his clean verse in The Watcher's Monolith is one of my favorite parts of this CD.

The intro is fapness, To Drown is epic, and there's nothing wrong there not being enough cleans. The vocals are, like, one of the least important aspects of this band imo.

For me, lack of acoustics/clean vocals. Lack of variety in the sections of the songs, too much wasted time.

Ok that's why it's your opinion. The lack of cleans is a problem for me and I think To Drown is pretty boring, my opinion.

Look at Shadow of our Pale companion, that is how you write a long song. It was constantly changing it up and always doing something interesting. Not making weird noises for 10 minutes.

Is Shadow of Our Pale Companion better than anything on this album? Yeah, i agree. Same w/ The Hawthorne Passage.

That being said, idc. All the tracks on this album are still fucking awesome.

The three middle tracks are fantastic, I agree, but the intro (while being cool like I said earlier) does go on for too long and To Drown is 10 minutes of filler.

Except the first and last, and half of Nidstang. Not much content when you take all of that away.

Black Lake Nidstang owns Shadow of our Pale Companion.
