Honestly there are quite a few I'd put ahead of MP, but it's probably just because I overplayed it when I was younger. Hemispheres and Permanent Waves are my favorites.

Well, it was last year and Ian Anderson played it with his own band, they also played TAAB2.

I'm young to be honest, but I've been listening to Tull since I was a child, haha.

TAAB2 is alright but it's a million miles away from classic Tull.

And yes elcraw, Tull easily have the best lyrics in prog (although only a couple of their albums are strictly prog). Anderson is (or was - he's deteriorated somewhat in more recent years) one of the greatest lyricists in music in general.

TAAB2 is not even technically Jethro Tull due to its lineup. And it doesnt come close to TAAB.

Although I appreciate his lyrics very much, that's quite a bold statement to make

Dude Thick as a Brick is fascinating to examine purely as a poem. Even more fascinating when you consider the way it's parodying prog while simultaneously embracing it. Or the way it's presented as a poem and not as a song in the booklet. Entire concept is really well done. But god, the first three lines in particular are such a great statement on the way that people digest music and the artist having to come to terms with that.

Andreson is among the best, but I wouldn't dare to say he is the best lyricist "without a doubt"

Without a doubt, he is the worst lyricist of all time.

Anderson is without a doubt the best lyricist in prog.
