i think a major issue right now here, aside the inaction from the public, is the focus on refugees and the muslim communities here. You got a decent fraction of the public attempting to strike back at these people as if they're the problem, and attempting "to do anything in their power to insure no refugees don't come into our country" or whatever all the while forgetting that the US was founded and based off of refugees/persecuted persons. Not that it has to do with Sunn O))) aside from me droning on about this.

It bothers me too, but at the same time I have shit to do. And that's a stupid fucking excuse, but what can one person do? Where do you start? I stay pretty up to date on social issues, but I live in the fucking Bible Belt. It's daunting for more reasons than I can even try to explain. One thing I'm trying to do is get a platform first. Maybe I can do something with that. Maybe not. Other than that, there aren't many active movements rolling through my town. If there are, I'll do what I can. I know these are typical excuses for inaction, but the sad truth is, you do have to be someone who is semi respected first or know someone who is.

Well of course yeah. The main thing I find disgusting is the states trying to deny refugees when they have literally no say in the situation. How fucked can you be as a person to deny someone who's lost nearly everything while you sit in your fancy little mansion?
