Nah, I think you'd get more of a flood of comments that go like this: UNNECCESARY, LULZ.

Nah if you want (good) publicity, give Trivium's Crusade a 5 and say it's 100% original.

I've talked to many who think RTL is their best. I think MOP is their crowning achievement. Better songwriting, musicianship and production. It all seemed to come together on this. As influential a metal album as there's ever been. But, as some say, influential does not neccassarily mean good!!

This is the best album of the eighties...wonderfull. You could say that tttsnb is the worst track, but it still sets a sign for things to come - it is the first track (I think, although some bugger will corect and out guitar nerd me here i'm sure) it is the first metallica song where the detune the guitars to give a different sound (Which they do a lot more on later albums.) the lyrics set a new standard, political statements, which bred other bands doing the same thing in the years to follow. James voice is beginning to mature and take on the growlly qulaities that make my wife swoon. in short, well produced well written and well performed. why can't I give this one a 10/5...

St anger and justice are probabaly my least fave tali albums - st anger is weak with production and james lyrics are just not thought out enough - it was rushed throughbecause the fans were screaming for something, and also that the band were close to self distruct at the time and justice goes the other way - over produced, too long songs and too much goddamm politics. the best are puppets and black... BUT NOW THEY ARE WORKING WITH RICK BLOODY RUBIN MAN!!!! I MEAN HOW GOOD IS THAT GOING TO SOUND.

Mike how can you say that stuff about Metallica? They are veterans of metal, I think you should keep comments like that to yourself as they are still great musicians regardless of St. Anger (IMO)

Just wanted to point out in Leper Messiah...I believe that's Lars counting off at the start of the song, not James. Lar's is the one with the accent ;)

I finally picked this and Ride the Lightning up. I have to say I like this album a lot more than RtL. This album was an improvement in almost every aspect; vocals, shredding, songwriting, diversity and production to name a few. There's also not a bad song on here with the closest to filler being The Thing That Should Not Be which should be better lol

I see this in alot of reviews, I can't see how being too heavy for some listeners is a con. Honestly.

But yup, good review.

I can't stand James Hetfield's voice anymore. Thats what really ruins Metallica for me. I used to love this album to death.

Metallica attracts a fanbase beyond metal. They may dislike the really heavy stuff. This is really different from their Load/ReLoad days.
