I like it. It was just them experimenting.

i don't dislike it but to me it feels out of place

it's the "acoustic track at the end" of the album. It ends the album well, with the last minute reminding you of A Vitctim, A Target.

"i mean immediately i love Five Years and The Year Ended In June but in the other songs I found i only liked the melodic parts"
exactly the same for me. so hard to get into malice and i agree, jesse's vocals on malice are some of the most emotional ive ever heard
|
| |
yeah Jesse really put his heart into that record, really emotional shit
also i never realised how the last minute of the last track is the same bit from A Victim, A Target, rad

I mean the riffs on Of Malice... are more abundant, the drums are more technical and the fills and double bass are crazy, the bass has some cool lines under the guitar parts, production by Hevy Devy, what's not to like?

I remember this sounding extremely boring on first listen but like Purpledino said it does eventually click.

it's all a matter of time until the layers open up in every song
|
| |
yeah thats true, there are loads of layers and textures and it takes a while to bring them all together in your head

Their debut clicked immediately with me though.
|
| |
other way round for me
|
| |
considering how many listens controller took for me, i could give malice a few more chances to click.
probably my music taste sucks too much to get into the more technical album
|
| |
i dont find it that much more technical than Controller
