This is very different from Liquid Swords in that the spirit of New York City is embedded within it unlike any other hip-hop record to come out of the city.

This is album is like a 4 for me. I can obviously see that many rappers were influenced by this, but when you don't consider that fact, this album is still extremely good but a bit overhyped, especially compared to albums like 36 Chambers, Liquid Swords, and even Marshall Mathers LP (which I condiser to be a masterpiece, if you ignore a few dumb songs.).
