if you listen to the commentary for this album, fenriz says he basically ripped off celtic frost on purpose and unashamedly and that he wrote the songs in that style with celtic frost style vocals, but then ted did his thing over it and made it into something else entirely

yeah i like the vox here. probably 2nd best darkthone for me
they're too loud and feel like he's yelling on top of the music instead of mixed in with it, but I found a fan re-edit that pushed them back and I like it way more.

the fact that the vocals arent treated at all is exactly why theyre the best.
no distortion. no reverb. no harmonizing. just ted absolutely tearing his throat to pieces on every syllable.
there are sometimes where his voice will crack and he sounds like hes in physical pain. god man this album rules so much.
