But Fire Above...

that remix was pretty pointless. Yeah let's remix an Agalloch track then use a two-minute stretch from a song that uses the same riffs over and over. Yeah, that'll create an interesting, dynamic techno tune, for sure!

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't electronic music supposed to get you pumped and make you want to dance, not sway slowly back and forth and stare at your feet?

If you're listening to EDM yes but no. I can't imagine anyone dancing to Idioteque from Kid A.

I dance to Idioteque!

Techno=/=electronic music as a whole. It's a subgenre of electronic music.
Very, very wrong. That can be said for EDM (electronic dance music) which is just a small portion of electronic as a whole. Listen to some Burial and you'll see electronic is a lot deeper than just dance music

agreed. outside of one or two songs from PF/mantle those two are probably my favorite agalloch tracks. such an unbelievable way to start an album.

falling snow is one of my least favorite agalloch songs nowadays tbh

it's probably one of their most accessible songs, and I feel like it might have been the first agalloch track a lot of people heard. i suppose it's also fallen off slightly for me but it's still one of my faves... couldn't really imagine it being one of my least favorite while the two albums after this still exist.
