I mean, melodeath + breakdowns = metalcore or whatever, but there's no hardcore on this album and the breakdowns are more death'core' styled so yeah.

Every style of music has breakdowns, chugging breakdowns are a death metal thing through and through. Listen to oldschool Suffocation, Cryptopsy, and Cannibal Corpse, kthx.

The Black Dahlia murder don't have deathcore-like breakdowns, and neither do At the Gates. BMTH, however, does.

Except this album sounds like The Black Dahlia Murder with deathcore breakdowns. And we all know that The Black Dahlia Murder is melodic death metal. And that breakdowns don't automatically make a band metalcore.

Use logic jackass.

Cool, breakdowns don't change the style of music a band is, otherwise Joshua Fit For Battle would be a fucking metalcore band.

Yeah, it kind of does. Breakdowns can be the difference between metalcore and deathcore.

It's hardcore influence vs. death metal influence, not breakdowns.
