He has always been great and likable but I feel like his career has been getting a resurgence lately

It was spurred on by Zombieland I think but yeah he has been getting the great roles recently. Go Woody go

I was thinking it was Zombieland too, without looking at his filmography.
My friend is writing an EP and I'm doing the drums for him (as well as handling the recording and mixing when that time comes) and hot mama, this is sounding sweet

I didn't know him before Zombieland so yeah it must have been, thank you based Zombieland
Is there any instrument you don't play? Jesus lordy lord. Style?

Have you seen any of his pre-Zombieland films? Obviously you loved True Detective based on your avatar, which would have been 10/10 amazing had the last few episodes not let me down
I'm not really sure what it is. He kind of wants to switch between, clean pretty sounding stuff, straightforward hardcore and then some funky kind of Strawberry Girls stuff. It's weird as fuck for me just doing drums because I'm used to having a full vision in my head and he is literally giving me free reign to do whatever the hell I want.

I can't think of any at the moment but I'm not looking at a filmography right now so I might've forgotten something. Recs?
Yeah the last two episodes of TD were a hard 3/5 but the rest was so fantastic I can forgive it
That sounds fucking awesome honestly keep me updated

White Men Can't Jump
The Thin Red Line
The People vs. Larry Flynt
No Country For Old Men (watch this immediately)
The Messengers
The last two are within the past ten years but chyeah. Some good stuff
I was sincerely hoping when Rust saw that black hole that the show was about to take some fucking crazy cosmic horror turn that the show had been teasing all season and then nothing happened :'[

I actually realized after looking at his filmography that his career boost came around the mid-2000's

Awesome I'll work through those
Dude that's 100% my sentiment. Its like the first 6 episodes were this crazy awesome mix between the X-Files and the Wire and then after the 6th episode they couldn't care less about the Yellow King horror aspect (eg the best part) and it just became like CSI

It was cool seeing them do actual detective work though some of it was farfetched as fuck (seeing a green house and realizing it was the green eared monster? Come the fuck on. I figured he was just wearing ear muffs..) but if it went cosmic I would gladly hail it as the best television show since forever. Sadly unfinished plot lines and going CSI like you said let me down. Hopefully the next season will be even better though, in which case it will be godlike levels of awesome
That show awoke some crazy urge in me to watch more cult shows and films, though there isn't anything to satisfy that urge. I've been thinking about checking out The Following, though it doesn't have that cinematic quality at all

Yeah the green house thing was literally fucking cringe-worthy, so bad
I have high hopes for the next season but no Woody in it will be :/
Also everyone's jizzing over Rust's character because he's so mysterious and ethereal but Marty >>>> so hard
Never heard of the Following, just watch the X-Files bruh

The Following is a show with Kevin Bacon as a detective where there are cult murders going on but they are based on Edgar Allan Poe poems
