Angel of Death > 80s Metallica songwriting > the rest of this album

If it's all about thrash with you then yeah this album is going to be better than Metallica, even MoP. MoP only had like three songs on it that were really in any way properly 'thrash' tracks.

KEA was 'Tallica's only proper thrash record.

I'd argue that it was their only proper thrash record too

RTL was also pure Thrash but some of the songs (Fade to Black, For Whom the Bells), were not strictly Thrash

Agreed with Ocean, works well as a whole but individual don't stick out [2]

Show No Mercy and Seasons in the Abyss are better, tbh.

"Show No Mercy" is pretty good, but what the fuck with worshiping that album in here.. everything they made after it till Seasons is better.

Show No Mercy is a solid thrash debut but nothing more. Everything they made up until Seasons was far superior.

Seasons and South are also 5's but they're superior to this too.

SNM is my second favorite after this. Love the NWOBHM vibe on it.

Anyone else sad that this isn't in the Top 200 anymore? I think it's a tad overrated, but I can't deny the influence.

"I think it's a tad overrated"

I used to think that, but after like a dozen listens it became like my 3rd favourite thrash m/

RtL is still my favorite thrash, it paces itself perfectly and let's the listener breathe for a bit at the perfect moments while still having 5 or so tracks be all out thrash

I listen to a lot of doom and sludge so when it come to thrash, the faster the better.

@elcrawfodor: I know but I've seen people on the site who think if you don't give it a 4.5 or a 5, then that must mean you think it sucks.

@romulanrancor: Thanks man, album rules. Easily their best.
