I want First Light/Last Light to be played at my funeral
I have "First Light" as a ringtone at my cell phone, really cool album intro.

At first, I really worshiped the album art, with the severed left hand and all.
The music got to me at a subsequent step.

Ha I just realized I never rated this. That's weird, pretty sure I did.
But anyway... Used to be 4 but I heard it the other day, think I'll settle in a 4.5
First Light/Last Light intro duo is too epic

it's a solid-to-light 4 for me now, but still one of my least favourite Converge records
the production kinda brings it down at points, though it has grown on me

Do you watch Fantano, Alex?
|
| |
I like it more than No Heroes, When Forever Comes Crashing and Halo In a Haystack.
May like it about as much as Axe To Fall, not sure

Yeah I do. i have been for a long time. he's a funny and cool guy, and his style is unique but works well for his medium.
I still like WFCC and ATF more than this(both are 4.5s), but those other two are definitely their worst.

I'm jamming this right now
I just realized how much I love the short but strong build up on 'Last Light'. The isolated of the
production with the "shock" aspect of the instrumentation and nasty riffage make it sound really
desperate and even kinda scary, like watching a really violent street fight that just gets worst and
worst
Specially like how Jake's vocals go back and forward between the "clean" ones and the "raunchy" ones,
it almost seems like he's transforming into a demon in the middle of the song and it's awesome
