So yeah this is pretty great, definitely a lot of room to grow on me too. Only thing is I wish there were some vocal variety, probably I just don’t “get” the style though.

Okay first of all, Agalloch rules. Second, if we could perceive this almost more along the lines of shoegaze that would be great. Its marketing is moreso what failed it. But as a shoegaze album, this hasn’t aged a day, nor has it been touched since. It’s a gem. This is one of the greatest albums ever made, imo

I think comparing it to other black metal act has added to its ridicule, but for what it is, it is beyond a shadow of a doubt, the best of its kind. Shut up with labels and just listen to the beauty.
