Zak can't stand competent musicianship.

Every one has their classic metal band they can't stand

For Zak it's Megadeth

For me it's Maiden

I'd still take bratty metal vox over cod operatic metal vox but I see the argument the other way

" tasteless pun"

What, I thought it was very refined - because he was an ugly little blot of disease in our organism of 5s.

butt.

For me it's probably Anthrax, unless I can think of something worse. That dude's vocals, I just cannot handle. Never thought Dave's were that bad, always surprises me when people act like they're dogshit or something

I'm on the fence with Anthrax...but they're definitely not one of the greats

Just gonna chime in and say that as a vocalist, Dave Mustaine is tolerable at best and execrable at worst. I get why people love his work- he's genuinely a great guitarist- but how anyone can stand his strangled, nasally yowling is beyond me.

Dave's vocals perfectly fits his music/lyrics I think. Like he has a bratty punky snarl that perfectly conveys the attitude of his lyrics and his sense of humour.

Exactly - he doesn't always play it straight, there's comedy, Megadeth aren't one of those metal bands that are too pompous or self serious.

He liked some punk and that shines through.

His personality was partly that of the ultimate metal brat, the enfant terrible of thrash, and I like that his vocals actually reflect the dude's personality.

Ehhh I guess I can see that, I could name plenty of punk vocalists who I think pull off a similar approach with much more charisma and melody but it really does come down to individual taste at the end of the day.

His voice is kinda fitting on this album, although he generally isn't a good vocalist.

The musicianship in this album is off the charts though, so it's a strong 5 in any case.

The musicianship in this album is off the charts [2]

Dave wasn't bad vocally on So Far So Good. Hook In Mouth jumps to mind; he sounds pissed off and generally pretty cool on it.

He's technically not a good singer but thematically he works great on this.

For what it's worth he sings at his best on Youthanasia

The vocals are pretty iconic. I totally get why people think they're bad though. This is probably the only album by megadeth i like besides maybe endgame
