I just hope the next album is all Pablo Honey Z-Sides sorted by song length

I rated this album so highly because I’m really impressed with the creativity and variety in styles throughout the album. There’s not a song on this that I’d say is peak Radiohead, but each song is engaging and unique in its own way

I’m saying that relative to an album like hail to the thief. Obviously there’s some variety, but the instrumentation and production feels pretty samey for the whole album. That’s not necessarily a knock on that album or bands with a “sound” they stick with either, I just think it’s cool that this album provides a huge range of instrumentation and production styles

We likely aren't getting another Radiohead album for at least 2-3 years but I'm hoping for bleep bloopz

i think this has 3 vibes, the slow songs, the songs like decks dark and identikit, and then whatever the fuck burn the witch is. the first two vibes mesh well together and if the tracklist was altered i think this could be a pretty cohesive record. but it all sounds like a definitively singular point in radioheads career

httt on the other hand sounds like a little bit of every era of radiohead. for better or worse, it's all over the place.

If I’m being honest I’m probably over generalizing httt as samey cuz I’m just not a big fan of it. And the opposite with this

yeah the b sides from the httt era own. take a mix of com lag, the best songs from hail to the thief, and find a less scatterbrained order and you got a banger album. i still like hail but its definitely not the best record they coulda put together from all that material

Yeah it just felt uninspired to me compared to the masterpieces they’ve released before and after it. The opener is the only track that really keeps my attention throughout
