Either way, whether Deftones record with Terry Date or Nick Raskculinicz it'll be a win over Matt Hyde's SHIT production on Gore.

Nah I was sort of kidding their production choices aren't terrible, but maybe inconsistent across their discography I'd say.

"I'd argue that the juxtaposition with the 'shit meshuggah tones' enhance the ethereal moments - and there are a lot of them i.e just about every chorus, beauty school, sextape and the two final tracks which never get mentioned but are beautiful songs."

Hunt's got it right

this is the most compulsively playable Deftones album to me, along with like Around the Fur & at one point Koi

not a song I don't like on here, & I can actually remember all of 'em just by looking at their titles versus Koi which I still kinda blank out on a few of the tracks of (for instance I couldn't for the life of me tell you how "Graphic Nature" goes right now)

Only difference is I pretty much know how every Deftones song goes.

i feel like the Koi thing has more to do with the super-consistent atmosphere of the record or something, a lot of the tracks in the middle of that thing end up blending together for me when I'm listening to it, whereas the first 4 & last 3 tracks I'm instantly familiar with

"976-EVIL" is at least top 5 Deftones for me tbh, possibly top 3

"What Happened to You?" was memorable to me for the opening drums, if nothing else

no other Deftones song started out with that kind of side-stick thing, as far as I know

It's seasonal. Probably gonna stay Rory until S7 starts, then gonna change back to a new avi of the Queen.
