This is very consistent but doesn't have as much dreamy qualities the surrounding albums have, which make me prefer them a bit.

I think he means that the guitar tone itself is just not good. If so, I've always thought the tone was rather good. When I hear just one stab of it, I know it's Deftones.

I understand complaints about guitar tone and production on here, and Gore suffers the opposite problem with how thin it sounds a lot of the time. They should just master all their albums like SNW and KNY
