just a bunch of crazies
This should have a 4.3/4.4 but it had a crazy backlash of people who don't listen to screamo checking it out and immediately hating it

Yeah it's a polarizing album and I totally get why; but this album is probably the screamo record with the most ratings on Sputnik and a lot of people who don't understand the genre downrated it as a result

I didn't want to give him any credit. His review was kinda funny, I guess, until you realize what a massive cock he is and how obnoxious the site was to use due to his antics

@asleep maybe you never will get it. It's a weird record, not everyone is supposed to get it. Put it away until 2018 and try again then

I like this but I don't love it. Seems an odd opinion to take on this record in these parts.

@danielito solid plan, I think I may have actively worsened the experience for myself by listening to it a lot in a short period of time trying to understand it rather than letting the music do its thing.

I think if I listened to this now, for the first time, I would not love it. Probably not even like it. It was the first and only screamo album that worked for me and, from what I understand this is novice level screamo compared to some of the chaotic shit out there.
I can completely understand went someone would run from this shit.

Not nearly as good these days as when I heard it back in high school, but this will always be an album I hold close to my heart

my history with this album:
i heard it, i loved it
i eventually started thinking it was kinda flawed
lowered my rating from 5 to 3.5 over the course of a year
eventually stopped listening
ate a brownie and saw this in itunes and went "why did i stop liking this?"
listened again, had to re 5
happily ever after :X

sorta like that, I'll start seeing the albums flaws more glaringly overtime. Then those flaws will start to morph back into ' quirks ' that make the album unique.
I just leave it at a 5 because it's one of a handful of albums that I've ALWAYS had on my phone (or ipod) for literally ten years straight
