Voivod’s last two are way better than this and those aren’t even their best albums

I love this record, but Voivod are the OG's of weirdo-thrash

"It's only a matter of time before it comes down to earth I think but still, this is very impressive."

^ That was a quote from manosg in the first page of this review's comments from back in 2016, and the album still has a 4.3 to this day. Pretty damn amazing

Lol @ people comparing Vektor and Voivod on anything other than themes & graphics.

Btw my new cat's meows are about as raspy as Dave DiSanto.

Yeah I don't really see it myself actually, thematically yes & apart from that they both have progressive thrash elements, but are they really that similar? I do prefer these guys to what I've heard from Voivod but they're different beasts.

Yeah, the more prevalent prog thrash influences Coroner, Toxik and late '80s Destruction, honestly.

Agreed, they're worlds apart. Love both for what they do for different reasons.

Late 80's power thrash, yeah. That, and lots of Absu.

"That, and lots of Absu."

Which is the only way they managed to gain enough of a following to stick it out for several albums, honestly.

I wonder if Di Santo has written any more notes of new material yet? Only approximately 30 years till the new album, I'm psyched.

welp if this is any indication "It's official. I've spent 4 hours harmonizing 16 notes... What the f@#k. This is why you have to wait so long. Sorry, not sorry" it will be quite a while lol.

Yeah, I wasn't really expecting even an EP soon after this album nor after the band's dissolution.

I was indirectly referencing that quote actually, yep. Haha.

If it's anything close to the quality of his previous efforts then I'll wait as long as what's needed, so long as it happens eventually. I guess the longer it takes the tetchier I may become, particularly if he still hasn't recruited any new members.

P.S Please can no-one confuse this for me saying I actually expected an album out 2 years after the last one, especially when the rest of the band quit... I'm just considering the future possibilities.
