"I’ve been a fan for fifteen years, love both those albums, and love this. This more straightforward approach to songwriting is exactly what I wanted from them coming off the heels of Bloodmoon"
About the same duration as me then. I loved The Dusk In Us and never considered Bloodmoon anything other than a side project. In that context I find this one a bit underwhelming and I don't understand the level of praise (not that I think it's bad, but I think the hype machine is working overtime on this one.

Like, I don’t need a big post rockish centerpiece for this record to make it a little longer, they set out to crush skulls and they did that.
Again man, I don’t see enough people talking about this, but this really might be the best Jacob has ever been lyrically across an entire record. May be his best performance outright tbh

honestly wish I could say the same. I kinda just throw this on whenever I’m at a loss and have 30 mins spare. I can’t say I particularly WANT to put it on anymore.
I’m feeling like this is not a sound I’m actively wanting to hear anymore & am just persevering cos Converge. It’s good, definitely. I’m just not sure I need this when they have more enticing material to choose from (and I listen to them a hell of a lot less than I used to anyway). There would have been a time when I’d lap up anything this ‘full throttle’ from them, but now? I’m thinking not so much (might drop to a 3)..
It was nice as a sort of nostalgia revisiting deal for a few weeks tho.

I’m just disappointed (or maybe happy cos I don’t have the inner rage necessary to enjoy this wholeheartedly? Lets go with that… even if it’s probably not true lol)

Nah vinyl just came in and goddamn Jacob is still such a killer artist. I think going with the cover that they did was the right move, it kinda is a good catch all for the themes across the entire record, but man some of these individual pieces for each song are truly amazing.
