RIP this band. I see that in the flow of an album it’s the penultimate track so it’s got some potential but dammit I do not want radio rock from this band lol

white horse > future myopia > at all times
i'm increasingly feeling greg just does not fit the band... or at the very least, they need to calm down with the vocal effects and harmonies. dude is so much better off without it

I feel almost the exact opposite. First single was a dud, hasn’t grown much on me tbh. Future Myopia was almost on the level of the stuff we got here for me. I’m fine with one radio rock tune from this band, maybe two if it’s placed right. Idk I thought it was a good track, but if it’s really the second to last song that last track better be an absolute fucking ripper.
I dunno. I like every song on this EP more than any song they’ve dropped since including those one offs. Hope the album can live up to this but my expectations aren’t as high as they were like 6 months ago.

new song is whatever. feels album track-y for sure so maybe i’ll dig it more in context. future myopia clears both of the other singles so i hope we get more of that

Yeah I'm thinking these songs will sound a lot better in context. Pretty strange choices for singles honestly.
Future Myopia definitely the best of the three

@trilo
yeah that’s about where I’m at. Hoping they dropped the two more normie friendly tracks first and last and gave us a taste of what we really want with that second single

yes hard. this new one and white horse don’t feel like singles at allllll. i do think the barnburners are bein left for the album which would be an interesting decision

I think they’re getting radio play on octane… I’m pretty sure those two tracks are meant to lure in that crowd.
Idk I refuse to believe the band would go soft

At All Times is definitely their "radio friendly" song. It's pretty good for a power ballad but not what I want from this band.
They perfected their formula with Sacrificial and I wish they did more cool melodic stuff like that.

literally my favorite song from them. I like the chaotic shit but that song strikes the perfect balance for sure

New song is fine. It’s just not very good. It might grow on me, but it’s a bad choice to build hype for an album.

I skimmed the new track and like everything else i tried from this band its middling and quite lame

Better Lovers, but a worse band.
Many Eyes, but no one can see the riffs.
Watching the bloated corpse of ETID off-gas this much bitter mediocrity is depressing.

In a better timeline we’d probably have a tenth ETID album by now
