This absolutely rips. I've got Empty Black just ahead, but that Fed To The Lights/The Quiet Shakes combo hits so god damn good.

I realized I did not rate Empty Black and therefore, I shall listen both back to back. This is close to borderline 4.0 slammer btw.

If anyone's interested in learning these songs on guitar, this guy on youtube has made pdf and guitar pro tabs for nearly every song on the album which are in the descriptions of his videos. also looks like he did it for every song on Radical too

Lunatic, it's an odd beast. I still prefer EB, though I do agree musicianship and lyrics are better on this one. Could be a thing where in time I prefer this one more (I mean, they're both 5s for me), but it's very odd how I can both prefer EB and understand this is more mature on every front.

The funny thing about the lyrics on this one is that Brent kinda just threw them together on a whim and didn't spend too much time workshopping them. I think he said in an interview that most of the songs were first or second draft and he wasn't super confident in them but Putney was like pushing him that they sounded good and he was overthinking it.

"this is more mature on every front"
I'd sat this is 100% subjective, I actually disagree... for me both lyrically and in terms of song composition EB shows a more mature band. Speciallytracks like echo and dust.
That being said I'm in no way shitting on this album, it is my AOT atm and it slaps

I don’t like post-hardcore but this SLAPS

The other record has better songs. As simple as that. In terms of maturity idk but I'm all in with Asura on this one.

So these guys have officially taken the southern influenced post-hardcore torch from ETID, interesting...
Need to revisit this but first impression is very good
