I have a feeling that song is gonna hurt me in the best way possible.

I can’t believe these fucking guys. Radio silence until three weeks ago then suddenly it became easily my most anticipated record for the rest of the year

Sick. It’ll sound a lot better live if it ain’t just Conor. That’s a lot of screams lol

The screams are so good. I know this is gonna sound bizarre but something about it reminds me of Enter Shikari mixed with Brand New’s Daisy. But like if Enter Shikari entered their perfect form.

Honestly same. Greyhound is already quite possibly my song of the year this year and this is following it up beautifully. I never finished this album til like a week or two ago. I only listened to like half when it first came out. It is wild to me that this album is already 3 years old. I remember when it first came out. Felt like 3 seconds ago. But after listening to Greyhound I revisited all their albums and finally finished this one. I know they’re too diverse to really nail down a single sound on an album, but I’d be cool with an album full of what sounds like their Daisy era. Lol

The album is something special, and you all have every right to be excited. Hell 99 is a stone cold ripper and one of my favorite songs they've ever done.

The singles makes me curious on the overall tone and how they will mesh together on the album. Hyped. Topping NMG will be hard but these guys always deliver something good

Also re:lyrics on Genius - I have the lyric sheet from the band and I can tell you that some of the stuff online is accurate, other stuff you can tell is just someone who's heard the song(s) trying to piece things together based on what they think they hear.

I mean NMG is literally all over the place. So I suspect the new one will be too. I’m good with it. I just know I want more unhinged Foxing. I hope there’s at least one more heavy one on the new album. I can tell this will absolutely be their best album

Not to compare bands but this gave me the same feeling as 1975 did when they released "People" lol

The first seconds always makes me think of ETID "Dark Distance" for some reason

Aside from Greyhound and Hell 99, the album is just Conor wailing over synthy pop melodies with Phoebe Bridgers features. They even diss Pinegrove at one point. Definitely a let down.

I like Phoebe but im tired of features so that may be something im not that hyped about tbh

Dissing Pinegrove? Feels like they are late to the party on that one

It’s kinda funny to me that this band has always been associated with the emo scene and really and truly they’ve not been emo in like a decade. But really? Phoebe Bridgers? I guess that doesn’t surprise me. I do find her voice comforting, but she’s gotten a little bit conflated recently. I don’t find Boygenius to be all they’re hyped up to be

Should have been a Pinegrove feature and a Phoebe diss instead like true chads

I would say that they still very much have an emo attitude even if the music itself isn’t. I mean there’s literally a line that goes

“It’s not enough that you’re wrestling yourself

But your friends talk shit while you’re going through hell

You said it feels like you’re swimming through mercury

And every night You think you’re gonna die in your sleep”

I mean that’s emo as fuck guys
