i remember first discovering this band (the song "stabwound" in particular) because someone uploaded an mp3 claiming it was by Death. so i downloaded it. i was like 13 but immediately recognized it sounded nothing like Death, but whoever it was, it was awesome.

From what I understand (and this is mostly based on hearsay and anecdotal evidence, so take it with a grain of salt) Muhammed was fed up with music industry bullshit, and also had a lot of difficulties behind the scenes with his bandmates. It's a shame, because apparently he had most of the next album done... but basically threw it all away because he didn't want to continue with the project anymore



Still, at least we have two incredible albums we can always revisit

On the bright side the music industry for smaller acts has better crowd sourcing so he may be able to circumvent the issues of the 90s/2000s but at this point he's probably around 50 and has much more stable income lol
