Listened to this all lockdown long in 2020. Its vibes are absolutely transcendent.
Listening to this now transports me back to March 2020 like I'm literally standing in it. For all the suffering that happened in the world, it also brought me closer to my family and I'll always associate this LP with that aspect of the pandemic.

It’s an incredibly privileged position to be able to say so, but I also have a strange nostalgia for that early lockdown time.

I think for me it’s less nostalgia and more relief/gratitude that I’m here on the other side, and the fact that it will be difficult to forget for me isn’t necessarily rose tinted glasses
that being said, yes, this album is very much linked to my initial covid experience and I expect it’s the same for a lot of folks

I haven’t listened to Covid 19 by the Tiger Lillies since covid - will be a strange day that I do
I guess the Tunng album is the one I associate most with that time and a 5 for that reason really - probably a 4.0 in reality

Spun this again last night and yeah, I don’t know if it’s just the inextricable link in my psyche between this album and driving round the countryside during COVID lockdowns doing bushfire remediation work but it still hits me really hard.

Yeah, this thing is special with or without being rooted in memories of the historic pandemic

I never once thought about this album within the context of being a pandemic album. It was just great stuff

Something Relative and Vaguely Satisfied if I had to pick but they are all so good and that's not just me being hyperbolic again

Still think the follow-up to this album is vastly superior, but I’ve been digging this lately

follow-up is straight up bad and maybe the most disappointing follow-up ever. songs like Broken Token are like a parody of country
