I need new stuff from these dudes. This record is straight fire. Gotta admit though that Kappa is the only song which is not validating a 5 in total

It has a somewhat derivative (shit, I hate this word) nature that prevents it from a 5 imo...Agree that album is fire though

yeah I knoe what you mean. It's lacking the climaxes the other songs clearly possess. Eagerly anticipating new stuff from these guy and hoping they'll blow up because the mainstream appeal is given

Yeah man, for me this was for 2018 as Johnny Booth was for 2019 (and this last one tks to you - I won't forget)

yeah totally! Greyhaven was also my discovery of 2018 and JB one of the best for last year though I think numenorean takes the cake for that year

Numenorean is awesome too imho...and prob more interesting overall...none of them were my #1 as you know.
I was talking about this specific type of semi mainstream HXC/PostHXC - "ETID related" lol...both Greyhaven and JB were at top of the game on their respective years.

haha yeah, the love for ETID brings out some good fellow bands to carry the torch once Keith and the bunch are gonna hang it up (which I hope never happens)

I really hope ETID continues to add all those more metal influences like on LT and a more disturbed approach like FPU (although LT is disturbed enough ahah)

I'm hoping they are incoporating more emotional depth and walk down the road of Map change some more. I'm also in love with Religion Of Speed

well Ray...What you mentioned are actually the both sides of the coin (emotional HXC and Metal infused - almost prog - HXC)...and as you know...The Coin has a Say...
I don't mind they get more technical and metal, while all these other bands, as you said, carry the torch.

I don't think that they will disappoint at this point of their career. I can't think of a band that has a more consisten discography really, maybe converge or dillinger.
Gotta say though that FPU is the one record I do not revisit that much, since I find it to be "quite" unremarkable. Sure, there are some real bangers on it but somehow I enjoy LT, NJA and HD a lot more.
I'm just hoping for a mix of NJA and hot damn

At the end of the day, Keith's singing and lyrics are so damn emotional that, no matter where the band goes they come with seriously touching pieces (disguised as beer metal...bah)
"maybe converge or dillinger." fuck yeah
FPU is their most abrasive and disturbed piece...you should revisit...All Structures are Unstable is the tits man!
