Pretty solid.
The title track rocks hard. Death is Real and The Silent Life are also great songs.

I really like Old Nothing. Solid songwriting
Deftones: I'm not sure if you are really excited when you type stuff so you sort of blurt it out or English is not your first language.

I've never really jammed Augury as much as I've meant to in the past tbh. Def gonna jam the new one.

If you like some concise, progressive tech death, it'll serve its purpose just fine. It's memorable, it's got riffs, it's got melody. Full package my man.
Tech seems to be a bit of a 50/50 coin flip for you though, so I can't guarantee you'll like it. It's no Faceless if that helps lol

Yeah it's def a 50/50 flip hahaha. We shall see though. m/

I hope the album doesn't all sound like Carrion Tide. Yikes, not my thing at all.
However, they can play their instruments.

Also, do I hear a fretless bass on Mater?

Bass is a hero in that record for sure, and that song fucking goes in. I love me a tech death album that doesn't shy away from bringing down the heaviness.

Dynamics are always appreciated. I hear some early Opeth influence in there for sure, mainly in the vocals.
Idk they are concise compared to others in the genre but the songwriting isn't grabbing me.

I think it's very powerful and well put together. Beyond that, it's memorable as well.

fairly deathcore-ish I reckon. First 3 are pretty good. Others hit and miss. Saxophone was not a good idea lol

The saxophone is one of the only things that actually stood out to me, lol

oh it stood out, for me it was just in a "lets put it in there to be different". Didn't fit imo
hollow and death is real are decent as well

If you don't think that sax solo on Subtle Change didn't fit then I don't know what to think of you.

I like sax (:
|

Same, I thought it sounded perfect on this album.
Can't stand it in that avante-garde metal shite though.

yeeboiz i thought they transitioned into the sax on the first song real smoothly and it bridged into the guitar solo naturally with no lack of foreshadowing or prior harmonizing or whateva the fuk
