Question. In I'll Still Destroy You, is the line "this one's like the wilderness without the world I'm gonna miss those long nights" meant to connect those two ideas or is it actually "...without the world, I'm gonna miss.."? Wouldn't be the first time Berninger's done that but it's harder to tell w this one

lol just reading my comment I'm already leaning way toward that they're meant to be connected into one sentence. Both possibilities made a lot of sense to me tho idk. Carry on folks lol

Nobody Else is the best tune here and has possibly the best vocals Matt's ever laid down

Thinking 'Nobody Else' is the best song does flag up to me someone might (I'm only saying might, don't kill me) not have listened to the full album enough yet.

It is clearly the bridge/transition with the previous album.

Lucid, that's logical. Just remembering the approach 'Trouble' took last time took a while to grow on some people is all.

Im feeling a 4.5 coming on but we'll see. Some of the tracks i felt underwhelmed by are growing on me.

My first listen of this today marked the first time I anticipated and enjoyed the first drum clicks of 'Turtleneck' coming in after 'Born to Beg'...the 5 is cementing itself now

When Turtleneck first came on i was like "what the fuck is this," but i ended up liking it before it was over. Its fun and a nice break of character. Id like to see more of that.

Title track still hasn't worked its magic on me yet

Listened to this next to TWFM last night... You can hear that this is a step down, the tunes on that are just a bit smoother and more tuneful. It also stood out how much more plain the lyrics on this are. This is still incredible though.
