i feel like this gets very little attention

it's a towering record but even I find myself forgetting about it rather often

it's an odd dynamic to be so in love with the sound a band creates and then only be bothered to listen to it a few times a year

stumbling across The Deepest Sighs was enough to rekindle my interest

many of us get caught up in the hunt for the next thing which can only take away from our time with previously discovered treasures

This owns. I finally checked out Let Me Be Clear and it was just okay. Hoping to check the other LP sooner than later.

yeah there's just so much stuff out there that i feel like i'm stagnant if i'm listening to the same albums all the time. i'll jam something i love a good amount, not to the point where i dislike it, but enough to glean what i want out of it at that point in time. then i'll generally move on and return to it whenever i feel like it or something reminds me of it. i usually only listen to my 5's a few times a year.

Let Me Be Clear is better than this imo, just more consistent even if the highs aren't quite as high

The Good Fight is still their best song but I don't think anything else off that EP comes even close to anything here personally

For those that don't know the band just played Australia's first ever MTV Unplugged. All songs bar the closer were off Go Farther In Lightness, so if you wanna check out some interesting arrangements of them, with strings and horns, check it out. Unfortunately it's geoblocked outside Aus so you'll need a VPN in the US and UK:

Same. I've come back to this more than a few times because I really like their energy and overall aesthetic, but it just feels bloated in areas and I lose focus and momentum. Same problem with their first record, although this one's better. But when they're on they're on. Who knows maybe one day it will all click, but I'm finding it harder to keep revisiting.

Quite ballsy the length of this record! I like what I've heard from it so far though
