It's pretty adventerous for a "big time" a-list pop record. Those jarring electronic bits Hard Feelings, the total strip down of Liability, the weird Liability reprise (which is just great btw) and the raw vocals on Supercut are things that just wouldn't happen on other a-list mainstream albums in 2017.
But I don't think the fact that this has some adventerous is the selling point. I think it has a much stronger thematic focus and more diverese songwriting than the first album and her vocal perfomance just sells every emotion she's trying to evoke. (prolly because she writes songs about actual emotions she's had)
Also this is nothing like bjork because bjork makes unlistenable music. (que the outrage)

Who could possibly think bjork sucks. Even if you don't enjoy her music to say she sucks is absolutely ridiculous.

I mean I guess. So much talent she can't focus it into something resembling good music tbh.

Have you ever listened to Vespertine or Post?

Tbh I only listened to her most recent and it was quite bland. I checked a few older tracks and didn't like them either, so just decided to give it up.

Just listen to Vespertine. If you don't like it then it just isn't for you then. Vulnicura is a terrible place to start and I can totally respect hating that album.

Only @SowingSeason could rate Vulnicura lower than Jet and Hoobastank

I think Bjork is a legend but it's weird to think her music would be for everyone. Even though I hate the term, it definitely is more of an acquired taste.

What music actually does appeal to everyone?

Post is as accessible as art-pop albums come tbh

I always thought Björk would be right down Sowing's alley. Huh.

The album is a bit too self-conscious about how it wants to be perceived, without really being that clever. Green Light and Supercut are good, but her style of whispering-her-lyrics in rhythm ends up making most songs sound the same.
