I’ll honestly never forget the first time hearing Hurricane.



The brief acoustic guitar build up, the tension and anticipation in the wake of a new album finally debuting. And then... boom.

Oh man, Hurricane is so beautiful and powerful. One of their best for sure. I actually really like To Be Everywhere, just found Palms a bit underwhelming. Honestly the only time I’ve felt that way about a Thrice album, bar the debut.



I think Major/Minor is insanely underrated. Easily their 2nd best after Vheissu.

Listening to this today and it's not quite as bad as I remember. I think the biggest flaw with it, minus a couple of bad creative decisions, is it all sounds a little bland.

I like THP, but these are definitely flaws in its execution.

pretty much. i dunno, out of all their albums THP just makes me cringe. it comes across as a contrived farce that was only made to address the fans. "look, we're still capable of making a "heavy" record". chester sounds like utter garbage on it.

as awful as it sounds, i'm glad the band is done now because it saves us being subjected to where they were going. from THP to this, it just felt like they were making contrasting styles a selling point. jack of all trades springs to mind.



ATS is their most experimental and it is by far their best album outside of the classic two albums.

you know, rob is a great drummer and it was a joy watching him grow as the band went on. brad is just a lazy mf imo. i recall him complaining about playing guitar on THP, probably because it meant actually doing a bit lol
