also I think a lot of the hype Stage 4 got was due to Jeremy's mom passing away, folks knew this thing wouldn't hold back on that emotional gut wrenching department, I know the new record has to do with life after grief, what the Hotelier did with Goodness comes to mind, and ofc the world's current state of affairs

someone in the comments mentioned hot water music and i can hear it on this one. things get nice and pop punk-y. vocals aren't that bad on second listen. not sure how many takes they did but the ones that made the cut sound like they were chosen for a reason.
