"less interesting than La Gargola"

almost fundamentally impossible

Not bad for a three-piece nu metal band.

La Gargola >>>>>>>>>>>> TNC.

I would even say this is their second “worst” album (still solid though, just a bit too one note).

@Drifter: I'd mention Point #1, but yeah this is one of their weaker works.

Dang, I love this. I am seeing a little negativity towards ol' northy and it makes me sad.

@Drifter: C'mon, most of that album is derivative as fuck and a lot of it just sounded boring to me. Pete was the only saving grace for me, but luckily he was still such a powerhouse that it helped.

this certainly aint close to being their worst but it may have the "it was the first album of theirs to drop when i was a fan" bias. still prolly my second behind wwn

La Gargola is great and I was pretty happy with it since I was super disappointed in Hats Off, but there are two songs on it that I am not fond of. This is just a straight through listen of awesome for me. Also, for me, I think this is the only Chevelle album without a single dud on it. Every other album (except for maybe Vena) has at least one song I skip on it.

I actually just picked up a super cheap copy of Point not that long ago out of pure curiosity. For whatever reason, I have never listened to it. I'll get to it one of these days.

every single Chevelle album is on par with the last, they are THE most consistent band who manages to shake shit up but sound so recognizable

bottom 3 are hats off, point #1 and this one imo. none of em are bad but i don't think they're as good as the other records. haven't listened to this in a while but it felt a little too by the numbers i think. and i loved la gargola.

Yes definitely very consistent. Chevelle and Deftones are the two most consistent bands of their genre. I’m different in that Sci Fi and Hats Off are my fav Chevelle albums.

Sci fi

Hats Off

La Gargola
