The part when the sax solo ends and the song does one more quiet reprise always twists up my insides

I think I admire this from a production and ambition standpoint more than I actually enjoy it as of now

I was really getting into this the first few days it came out but it's a bit too much to visit again just yet. I've been listening to Station and Let's Dance a hell of a lot though.

As a gigantic Bowie fanboy I feel the reaction to this is album is a bit overblown, but it's definitely very good. But to me it definitely doesn't compare his 70s golden era and it's definitely not as experimental or crazy as some people make it out to be.

With that said, this album is still very very good and I love the lyrics. It's just a shame that the reaction to it feels clouded by the reaction to his death. But then again that's to be expected.

It's a way behind Low, Station, Ziggy and Aladdin fair enough but the rest of his albums? This is right up there.

tbh I enjoy this about as much as "The next day". Maybe a little more because it's more consistent in quality.

This, The Next Day and Outside all make my top 10 Bowie so to say this is on about the same level of TND is something I loosely can agree with

watching some of his videos from long ago, particularly from the early 80's, my first memories of him, and they are killing me
